The common Asthma symptom

Asthma affects millions of people. Everyday we can see lot of new asthma cases. Breathing becomes difficult in a person affected with asthma as it tightens the nasal passage. This gets into the body easily and quickly.

In case of non-availability of the inhaler, the person with asthmatic symptom, wheezing has to monitor his/her breathing. It is important to know the asthma symptom that is leading to all these problems. Also, it is important for him/her to breath slowly and evenly. They may count three for each inhalation and exhalations at a time. It can be counted mentally, or someone should do the counting for him or her. This would let the person know the pace of breathing. Sometimes, this calms the person and his respiratory system becomes normal. If the asthma symptom occurs frequently, it is recommended to consult one’s doctor or physician. He may change the treatment.

When is Help Needed?

When you have followed all the medication and treatments properly, but still your asthma symptom does not improve or worsens, then it is the correct time to seek the attention of the doctor. In case, you are alone, dial 911 to call an ambulance; however, if you are with people, they need to take you urgently to the hospital, as you would have all the facilities required for emergency situations. Moreover, they know the appropriate treatment to be given for such situations, as they deal with thousands of people with asthmatic symptoms like wheezing or troubled breathing. Nebulizers are normally administered to the patients. These are similar to inhalers, except that the medicine combines with Oxygen to become vapor. This vapor on inhalation reaches the patient’s lungs directly. The portable version of nebulizer helps the patient when he/she is severely affected and he is alone. The knowledge of dealing with asthma symptoms can help one to manage them effectively.
